History
In 1998, Sentran, LLC was founded by Ken Kramer and Carlos Valdes. At the time of the company’s inception, Mr. Kramer had already served for 24 years in Sales and Marketing for some of the world’s leading companies specializing in the precision measurement of physical quantities. Mr. Valdes brought 17 years of diverse product and manufacturing engineering experience, specializing in strain gaged based transducer design and development.
By emphasizing a customer centric approach, Sentran enjoyed steady growth, necessitating multiple expansions of the original location in Ontario, California, and adding manufacturing capacity and capability to meet the demands for the broader range of Sentran’s product offerings.
In 2006, Sentran Asia (SAI) was established as a cost efficient companion to Sentran, LLC. This dedicated facility provides capabilities for producing high quality, volume OEM products, thus allowing the California facilities to remain focused on Sentran’s standard and custom engineered solutions, a Sentran core specialty.
In 2016, consistent with our commitment to quality, Sentran obtained ISO 9001 certification for both Sentran Asia (SAI) and Sentran U.S. (SUS) manufacturing locations.
In 2018, full ownership was transitioned to Mr. Valdes. Mr. Kramer continues his contributions as a consultant for Sentran’s larger OEM accounts. Sentran continues to enhance an industry leading OEM support platform, providing innovative measuring solutions for customer-driven and application specific requirements over a broad array of industries from ultra-low capacity medical sensors to high capacity weighing systems for industrial and steel mill applications.

Sentran’s target is to maintain and improve the workmanship of our products, allowing us to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations. Sentran’s products go through proven manufacturing processes, rigorous testing, and robust quality validation to ensure the highest product performance.
Delivery lead time is another important element in satisfying customer requirements. Sentran stocks a volume of standard products to meet immediate delivery requirements. High volume products and customer-driven designs are delivered per the customer’s schedules. We pride ourselves on being extraordinarily responsive to customers’ needs, and delivery is no exception.
