Functionally, the load cell inputs are multiplexed electrically in a parallel network using discrete, highly stabilized components for isolation and signal adjustments for each channel individually, with no interaction between channels. The N Series active summing capabilities distributes supplied excitation voltage to each load cell/transducer and sums the resulting signal for transmission to control instrumentation. The “home run” cable is connected between the N Series and the control instrumentation that supplies excitation voltage and accurate processing of the resulting load cell signals. Positive contact terminal connections provide secure clamping of conductors, ensuring long term stability of measured signals. The PCBA is conformally coated to protect it from the effects of condensation and corrosion. All N Series Summing/Junction Box enclosures are Hostile Environment Sealed (IP66-High Pressure Jets) by virtue of proprietary, multi- redundant barriers uniquely integrated to protect all internal components (NEMA 4/4X). 93
